Psychoanalytic Work with Children & Families

The Child and Family Service section of GCS is running a course of monthly seminars which provide an opportunity through reading, talks and work discussion to study the concepts and practical issues in understanding the psychoanalytical basis of work with families and children. The seminars will be led by two experienced psychotherapists - a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist and a Family & Couple Psychotherapist. The programme of monthly seminars will be held over 10 months at our Stroud premises on Monday evenings starting 10th October 2011. This programme will be of interest to counsellors working with young people and/or families and also for those not currently working with family groups in their thinking about their individual client's family dynamics.
